 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian and activist. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actress as a child soon after her move to the United States. She gained notoriety for her roles in AT&T television commercials as saleswoman Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016, and then from 2020. The commercials she appeared in were not her only activity she was involved in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had a recurring role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also been the voice of Squirrel girl in Marvel Rising since 2018, following her appearance in the TV pilot that was never aired New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and her were exiled from antisemitism as young as two years old. They immigrated to the U.S. with their children. The financial struggles of her family caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly however she was kicked out of the school during her sophomore year. She then obtained the GED and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a student of the art of improv comedy.
